Twin Murders (a mystical diagram), plays with the figures of the double, the impostor, the twin, in ways that undermine a viewer's certainty about his/her unique and individual status in the world. The piece expresses the doubt about two forms of identity that are actually mirror images of each other. On the one hand there is the myth of individuality: a view of the subject that ultimately reinforces alienation. And, on the other hand, there is the equally false and damaging myth of an ideal collectivity that subsumes all desire into bureaucracy.
